OBJECT : Object is a reusable entity that is based on software specification created by one world tools
two phases of object storing
1.central storage
2.work station
central storage server to store the central objects
PROJECT LIFE CYCLE : project is collection of objects
1.create a new project
2.add user/owner to the project
3.add object to the project
4.check object out & in
5.advance project : is change one environment to another environment
6.complete project
JDE ENVIRONMENTS:
1.development (dv) code (21) :is develop the objects
2.testing (py) code (26) : is test the object
3.production ( pd) code(38) : live environment and end user will be use
4.pristine (ps) : is standard environment or objects and back up purpose
5;pro tact type (crp) : crp means conference room Pilate
6.project pending code ( 11)
CONSULTANT : two types of consultants
1.technical consultant: develop the objects
2:functional consultant : design the document ant what is the flow and study the client requirement
INTRODUCTION OF OMW:
THE om w is change management system for one world development .it helps organize a lot number of development activities and helps prevent problems
such is inter mixing component from different releases and simultaneous changes to any objects by multiple developers
OM W HAVE 3 SYSTEMS: 1. graphical user interface
2.configuration system
3.log in system
OM W ENVIRONMENT: om w interface
interface is 3 types windows
1.project window : objects and owners available
2.auction button :11 action buttons
3.information window: two tabs is there a)search button b)information objects
PROJECT :
1.a project is made of objects and owners
2.a project consist of one world objects that have been modify are created by the developer
3.a project includes owner who play different rules in the development
DEFAULT PROJECT ;
1.the first time a developer uses om w a default project is created
2.all development done outside of om w these stored in the default projects
3.default project can't be advanced of another states
USER ROLES :
1.defined the allowed actions a specific user can perform on a project
2:the administrator assign allowed actions to each user roles
3.u may add many people to each user role in a project as necessary
OBJECTS : 2 types of objects
object library
1)batch application & version
2)table
3)business view
4)data structure
5)business function
6)bd objects
7)interactive application
NON OBJECT LIBRARY :
1)data dictionary items
2)user defined code
3)work flow menu
